St. Finian's Community College

Cairde

The primary role of the Cairde is to assist incoming first years in the transition from primary to secondary school. In the first few weeks of the academic year the Cairde have daily contact with their first year group. As the year progresses, they are involved in supporting 1st year students and participating in first year events. Being a Cairde gives students the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills.
