St. Finian’s C.C. school soccer team have been particularly successful over the years winning the Leinster Schools’ Cup and the Dublin Metropolitan League. St. Finian’s Community College U17 boys team are participating in the Shield competition this year. This team is trained and managed by Mr Carbury and Mr Walzer. Last year our first year group were very successful winning the FAI Dublin Shield competition. Throughout the years, students of the college have been selected to play for the Republic of Ireland Soccer Teams at underage level. In addition to these successes other students have acquired soccer scholarships to colleges in Ireland and The United States.

Dublin student Niall McCann was one of just 14 teenagers from all over the island of Ireland to be conferred with a Rotary Youth Leadership award at the European Parliament’s offices in Dublin recently.
