Leaving Certificate + LCVP
LCVP is a Senior Cycle Programme of the Department of Education and Skills, designed to give a strong vocational dimension to the Traditional Leaving Certificate. The programme combines academic study with a dynamic focus on self-directed learning, enterprise, work and the community. It gives Senior Cycle students the opportunity to develop their interpersonal, vocational and technological skills. These skills are equally relevant to the needs of those preparing for further education, seeking employment or planning to commence their own business in the future.
Transition Year
T.Y is a unique one year programme to ease the TRANSITION from Junior Cycle to Senior Cycle. It promotes personal, social, vocational and educational development.
Leaving Certificate Applied
The Leaving Certificate Applied is a two year Leaving Certificate available to students who wish to follow a practical programme with a strong practical and vocational emphasis. It focuses on forms of achievement and excellence, which the established Leaving Certificate has not recognised in the past. It prepares students for adult and working life, recognises talents of all pupils, promotes communication and decision-making skills and applies knowledge and skills to solving real problems.
