On Friday the 13^th of February we had to meet at the airport at terminal 2. Everybody had to meet there at five o’clock sharp in the morning. We all had to have are personalised blue jumpers that we got for the trip. Everybody was tired, but so excited!

Aer Lingus let us put our hand luggage under the plane. Before we got on the plane we all had a half an hour to walk around and get food and buy sweets for the plane.

After a two and a half hour journey we finally arrived in Berlin. We went on a hired bus and that took us straight to our hotel. We left our bags in a small room because our rooms were not ready yet. We then went on a bus tour of Berlin City. We had a tour guide and she told us about all the ancient history of the city.

We went back to the hostel and got our rooms where we would be sleeping for the three nights.

The next morning we had to get up for half seven to have our breakfast, after breakfast the bus brought us to the concentration camp it was called Sachsenhausen. It was very interesting and sad to think of what the Jews had to go through during the time of World War 2. We then travelled to a palace, inside there was beautiful art work and a huge garden behind it. It took many years to build. That night we went bowling. We all had good fun and all the teachers were getting involved.

Sunday morning we had breakfast and got on the bus to go to Tropical Island. It was a huge indoor waterpark. We spent five hours there; we had lunch at the restaurant in the waterpark. It was a great experience. We then drove to the World War 2 bunkers in Berlin they were so interesting. That night the teachers told us we had a surprise! The surprise was ice skating on top of an open roof.

Monday was our last day in Berlin. We got up had breakfast and then went to the Jewish museum. We had to wear headphones so we could hear our tour guide speaking because there were a lot of other tours going on around us. We travelled by train to the Olympic Stadium which was the last thing we did in Berlin was going shopping, we all bought souvenirs.

We all had a great time and made loads of new friends! It was a brilliant school tour.
