U16's Girl's Basketball team win the Leinster title

The U16's girl's Basketball lifted the Leinster Cup with a comprehensive victory over Athlone Community College in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght on January 31st. The first quarter was a tight encounter with the teams level at 9 points a piece. The girls came out stronger in the second half with a few standout performances from Stacy Walsh, Lana Walsh, Julia Swirydovicz and Niamh Crowley. The final score was 58-39 resulting in our school winning the Leinster title for the very first time. Congratulations to the team and to coach Niamh Lynch who has overseen the teams huge success. Best of luck to the team as they enter into the All Ireland stage of the competition in the next few weeks.
