Ms Mc Kittrick’s 1A CSPE class attended an ‘Eco-Unesco workshop’ on Tuesday the 13th of January 2015 in Swords library. There we met with Jenna, a speaker for Eco-Unesco. When we first got there she told us about the organisation and we learned about the environment and the process of clothing. We were given pictures that show the process that clothes go through and we had to put them in the correct order.
Then we played a silent game were we had to organise ourselves into the correct order of months and dates of our birthdays. After lunch we learned about pollution and the greenhouse effect that goes on during the process of making clothes.
Near the end of the trip we made hand warmers out of old recycled socks and designed them in our own way. We had great fun on the trip and it was a great experience.
